Neville Creative Project

For my creative project, I baked cupcakes that looked like pies, because I really wanted to incorporate baking into my project somehow. In the story The Haunted Boy by Carson McCullers, we see that Hugh comes home to a freshly baked pie from his mother. The pie was symbolic of how Hugh's mother had gotten better after the accident. I thought it was really interesting how he saw the pie on the counter, yet still panicked for he did not see his mother when he came home. Hugh brags to his friend John about the pie, and how talented his mother is at baking.
